I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP
Interview
After postponing the first meeting, I had a phone interview with 2 people that told me more details about the position and the purpose of the company. They ask me mostly professional questions related to how I work in terms of organisation and structure of my tasks.
After one week they just sent me an automatic email from their HR recruitment saying that I was not selected, although it would have expected a personal feedback.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Newtown Square, PA) in Aug 2014
Interview
Interview process is slow, hiring timelines are long and can get cut without notice. Sometimes managers lose headcount by not hiring fast enough!
I interviewed unofficially in March and then officially August and was hired at the end of in September. Process was apply on SAP site-->interview-->wait-->background check-->negotiate letter-->orientation 2 weeks after signing letter and submitting final paperwork.
Recruiters will try to low ball the salary, which is to be expected, and (while this didn't happen to me) one of my coworkers was told "to try to negotiate is rude"

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Newtown Square, PA) in May 2012
Interview
SAP called after finding my resume on Monster. The process included a call from a recruiter. As the role was language specific to German, I had a call set up with a German speaker to verify my fluency. Following that call I had an in person interview. The interview was two part - the the first part was with one person, the second part was with 3 people.
