I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP
Interview
Got called within 2 weeks of application. HR set a time and date, fairly straight forward.
Primary interview included one dev lead and one UX lead
This interview was mainly about knowledge, skills and presenting work. We went through my portfolio and I was given an opportunity to discuss my work. There were a few hypothetical questions in the vein of 'What do you think of…' or 'We have this problem we're trying to tackle, how would you deal with it?'
Second interview included 1 UX lead and one site manager
Behavioural interview. A lot of the questions here focused on how I would convey process. For example: Have you ever been involved in generating a piece of work that helps others understand how to do something (loose paraphrase)
Something to note during this interview, which I didn't exactly ace, is that one of the interviewers left their phone on the table for the first ten minutes of the interview. The phone proceeded to vibrate on the table as it received messages or updates. Wasn't sure if it was a deliberate tactic or not but I did my best to ignore it. During my first few answers I watched one of my interviewers look visibly bored or distracted. I did my best to keep my answers focused and succinct which seemed to improve the situation.
