I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
I had a 1 to 1 interview with one of the Sales Managers (Gary Scott - he's one of the best sales managers you could possibly meet. Incredible in work ethic and could motivate a dead horse) The interview lasted one hour and tested all aspects of my personality as well as my skills within selling.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Witney, England) in Aug 2014
Interview
Presentation on a subject chosen by Sage, followed by more generic competency based questions, followed by a more relaxed Q&A session. The interview lasted 3 hours which is the longest interview I've ever undertaken, but I had a good understanding of the role afterwards and I think the interviewing team were keen to find someone who both could "do-the-do" and would fit into the sales team from a personality perspective.
