I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sage (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2021
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me via Linkedin and asked me to apply. Had a great initial phone screening with the recruiter. Emphasized the quickness of the hiring process and that they need someone in the role in the next two weeks. She scheduled the interview for the next week with the hiring manager. The interview was online and went quite long. The hiring manager is a former recruiter and the position is new and she was very detailed in what is needed, job description, etc. Definitely did a LOT more talking than asking me questions. Went well, and told me I would hear back the week after the 4th of July holiday. By mid July, I had heard nothing. I reached out to the hiring manager and the recruiter. Nothing. Two MORE weeks pass. I email the recruiter again. She finally calls me to tell me that the hold up is that the job MIGHT be moving to California. Mind you this almost two months after she reached out to me. Finally got an email stating as such at the end of that week. Completely unorganized and unprofessional. Not employee friendly or employee engaging at all.

Question 1
Asked a lot of questions about my former role and how things were handled at my previous employer.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sage (San Jose, CA) in Jun 2021
Interview
I applied through LinkedIn and got an email from the recruiter for initial screening. The call went well and the recruiter told me to look for an email. I never heard from the recruiter again. I followed up multiple times but did not get a reply. I liked the position a lot so I reached out to another recruiter over linkedin. The new recruiter replied and said he will follow up with the recruiter who had contacted me. The new recruiter was very helpful and got back to me saying that the hiring manager wasn't interested to move ahead. I wonder, is it so difficult to type one line of email over multiple follow ups from the candidate and let the candidate know rather than ghosting. Terrible experience with the first recruiter.
