Interview
The hiring process took about six weeks, and I made it through to the final round but was ultimately not hired. In total, there were four stages: an initial conversation with HR, followed by an interview with the hiring director, then an analysis/presentation exercise with another director and a data scientist, and finally the last round with someone in the very role and level they were hiring for.
The first few stages were fairly positive—I received good feedback and felt the process was structured. However, the final interview was confusing and frustrating. The interviewer did not introduce herself or explain her role, and immediately mentioned that HR had booked only 45 minutes instead of the hour she requested. She asked me to introduce myself in just two lines, which felt unusual, and then moved straight into a series of data-related questions. While the topics themselves might have been relevant, the way they were asked and conducted felt odd and disjointed. When I tried to learn more about her role or the position, she declined to share details, saying she worked in a different region and couldn’t comment.
Interviews are meant to be a two-way process, but this one felt one-sided and directionless. After two weeks, I received a rejection with no clear feedback beyond the generic “other candidates scored higher.”
Overall, the process started well but lost direction in the final stage. Sage should ensure that interviewers are prepared and capable of conducting professional, informative interviews. Unfortunately, this felt like a waste of six weeks.

Interview
Started with a tour, presentation and interview that was very comfortable. Everyone makes you feel really nice, there was about 6 competency based questions and a little activity to see how you respond.
