I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
I was referred through a friend to a Product Management Role on the Sales Cloud. Ultimately, outside of the initial phone screen I found the experience to be uncomfortable and unprofessional.
When I made it to the 1:1 interviews in person, I had to meet with a series of people including PM Directors, VP of Engineering, Head of UX, and other PMs. What I came to understand is that while I was interviewing, I noticed I was constantly getting interrupted throughout my face to face interviews. Additionally, I noticed the folks that were interviewing me seemed rattled and stressed and were using TONS of profanity. I am not offended when people around me use profanity but it felt unusual for an interview. It seems they want you to be passionate about building things and want you to show it, however constantly interrupting and cursing is not the best way to interact with candidates. I also had to give a presentation which was not nearly as painful, but still found myself getting interrupted. I strongly suggest the team look at improving their hiring process for the sake of other candidates.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I am sorry to hear about the lack of etiquette displayed during your interview. We will use this as an opportunity to reeducate the hiring team. If you choose to consider Salesforce in the future, trust that you will have a better experience. Best of luck in your search!

Other Product Manager Interview Reviews for Salesforce
Straightforward, standard questions by the book, nothing special or out of the ordinary. Classical PM questions, some were related to usage of AI in the daily work and to team management
I had a 30 minute phone screening with recruiter and then a 45 minute interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was told they would be in touch with next steps. 2 weeks later I received a rejection email.

Getting a referral for a job is a massive advantage. No salary was disclosed I was asked what I would expect first. Interview was pretty casual and easy going. Would recommend
