I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Salesforce
Interview
The interview process took place in two rounds. First, there was an online coding assessment in the language of your choosing. It wasn't terribly difficult. Similar to a second-year assignment question. The second round was an in-person interview at my local office in Halifax. The entire atmosphere was so calming and seemed intentionally created to be less intimidating. It was my first "real" interview so I greatly appreciated this. I was interviewed by two employees, one from each team that was hiring an intern. I was then taken on a tour of the office and met the manager. Overall a really good interview experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if you came up against code that you didn't understand?
I got an home assessment, managed through the Hackerrank system.
It had 3 Leetcode questions, one was pretty simple and the second was harder. Needed to be with my camera on the whole session, and full screen. They gave 60 minutes to the whole session - means the two questions
Waiting for next steps.
oa-> recruitercall -> 2 45 min interviews
one behavioral, this is standard, use STAR method to answer culture fit and other Qs
, one LLD (design an elevator class and scheduler, with increasing levels of complexity)
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
It was really smooth, I loved my recruiter and everybody was really friendly. 2 rounds, 1 technical, 1 behavorial, each 45 min. Behavioral had questions related to their core values and technical was a LC easy. Technical had a lot of concept questions and a bit of practial design collaborate session.
