      Technical Support Engineer Interview

      Jun 22, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Portland, OR
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (Portland, OR) in Jun 2023

      Interview

I recently completed for the [Job Title] position. While I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the process, I must express my disappointment and frustration with how the process unfolded. From the initial screening and HR round to the subsequent panel round, I was engaged and optimistic about the possibility of joining your team. However, it became disheartening when I was informed, two weeks later, that the role had changed, leading to another round of interview with a new manager. During the final interview with the new manager, I understand that the time was limited to just 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it felt like my qualifications and potential were hastily judged based solely on this short interaction. As a result, I was ultimately rejected in the final round. The prolonged duration of the interview process, spanning over two months, combined with the sudden role change and the brief final interview, left me with a sense of frustration and the feeling that my time was wasted. It would have been appreciated if the process had been more transparent and efficient, with clear communication about any changes and a fair assessment of candidates' abilities and fit for the role. I genuinely respect your organization and its values, which is why I eagerly pursued this opportunity. However, I hope you understand my disappointment in the overall experience.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce in May 2026

      Interview

It was pretty quick. Pre-screening followed up by a 20 question multiple choice quiz. Then a panel interview. I was told by my recruiter the panel interview wouldn’t be technical but that was completely wrong. It was very technical.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2026

      Interview

The process was long and involved multiple stages, including technical assessments and panel interviews. Communication delay in the one stage and a long delay in the final stage. During the final stage interview, engagement from part of the panel appeared limited, which made the interaction feel uncomfortable.
