Interview
Salesforce had, (at least at the time I interviewed in 2010) what was apparently one of the most rigid and difficult interview processes around.
After what I recall being 2 or 3 different telephone interviews, I was asked in for an in-person interview that involved meeting with 4 different, one-on-one, nonstop over the course of two hours. The first two were sales managers, while the last two were sales people in roles similar to the one for which I was applying.

Question 1
They asked one of the more common interview questions, which was how I deal with conflict.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Salesforce in Jul 2016
Interview
Applied online. Recruiter then reached out for phone screen. Spoke about my background and the responsibilities of the role I applied for. Conversation lasted about 20 mins and then said she would reach out to hiring manager with my information. That was the last I ever heard from Salesforce as I never received a call back or even a generic rejection letter. I expected more from a highly rated company, but I guess you can't believe everything you read.

Question 1
Tell me about your background?
What do you know about Salesforce?
Expected compensation?
Thank you for your feedback. I regularly look into these reviews and communicate any areas of concern back to my recruiting leadership team. It's unfortunate to hear that you never heard back after your initial call. I understand how frustrating that must be. This is definitely an area of concern for me, and I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to reeducate our teams on the importance of communicating updates and feedback. Improving the candidate experience is firmly on our radar, and should you choose to interview with us again in the future, I trust that you'll have a better experience.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
It went pretty quickly. I think I was brought in to make sure that they had sufficient candidate pool. It was my first experience with "Valley" style company. Will probably be my last. I feel that tech companies overvalue themselves and they are overvalued culturally at present. I had a screen, then three separate phone calls with VP's. It was followed by an in person mock presentation. My preparation for the presentation was insufficient. Go by the script, they need to see that you can stick to the message.

Question 1
I cant remember the initial interview questions, why do you want to work here, why do you think you would be a good fit, do you know who mark benioff is?.
