I interviewed for both Program architect and Solution Architect roles. The PA interviews went smooth , quick and flawlessly and wrapped up within 3 weeks. The recruiter was very prompt in sharing all required info about the process. I went to final round but the panel decided my skills were better suited to the Solution Architect role and my recruiter connected me to the SA recruiter.
The Solution Architect interview process was tedious. The recruiter made the experience unpleasant and frustrating by sent invalid calendar links, getting the date wrong and then getting the timezone wrong. After about 20 unnecessary email exchanges, I found he is low-balling me by about 65K for the SA role. Glassdoor avgs. were a lot higher for NY than what he offered. When I followed up about the TC before beginning the interviews, he added 20k to it on the spot, without any approvals, which further confirmed that he did low ball me. Overall he had a greatly snobbish and condescending tone like I dint deserve to be paid and that he was doing me a favor by just talking to me.
The recruiter as not knowledgeable about what the different rounds of interview entailed and did not know the level of the role in the company. When I asked about these pertinent details, the answers were vague at best. The careless and unprofessional behavior on the recruiter's part and the low comp led me to withdraw from the interview process after recruiter the round.
