Initially I had a screening call with a recruiter who asked about my background and my expectations.
Several video calls were then organised over the space of around 6 weeks to meet with the hiring manager - Lisa and talk about my experience and skills. Although Lisa is a senior level manager at Salesforce, she was very down to earth, humble and easy to connect with. She invited me to meet colleagues of the team at the Salesforce tower offices in person. This was a fantastic experience where I got to meet key team members and managers while getting a feel for the office atmosphere as well as being given the opportunity to talk more about my background and ask questions.
Lisa continued to keep me informed of my progress and then invited me to the final stage of the interview which was a presentation and live demonstration to a panel of 4. I was given a case study and slide templates to help me prepare. Additionally, I was given limited access to a mentor who I could ask questions and check my presentation and demo content with which was very helpful. Fortunately for me, my presentation and demonstration were well received and I was able to draw on my past experiences to bring it all to life.
Overall, the recruitment process was smooth, timely and very positive. Everyone I interacted with had a progressive and friendly attitude which I found refreshing and reflective of the Salesforce ethos.
