I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (Seattle, WA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Applied online. Started off with a phone screen with the recruiter, then moved to a Google Hangouts interview with the hiring manager. Due to multiple people being remote, I ended up doing multiple interviews (effectively a loop) via web conference.
Overall a good process. Recruiter kept in touch throughout the process on what my status was. Ended up having interviews with a few technical managers, a peer, and boss' peers within the same org.

Question 1
Standard interview questions, asking about previous work and how you handle problems.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce (Boston, MA) in Apr 2017
Interview
I was referred by someone I knew from previous work experience. It was exactly three weeks between my first application and me getting feedback from the recruiter that they're ready to make an offer . I am on an H1B, so it is going to take a few weeks for me to get the transfer process completed.
After I applied on Friday, I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then a phone screen with the hiring manager within the first week. My on-site interview followed in about 10 days. And few days after that, I heard back with the offer.
Recruiter screen - It was just a conversation around what I currently do, why I am testing the job market, a fair discussion on expected compensation etc. At the end of the call, we already set up our next round.
Hiring manager Phone Screen - I was asked to address the following
- my knowledge about Salesforce
- my knowledge about the group
- my knowledge about the position.
- how I ended up in Program Management from a background in technology.
- What is the one thing you want in your next job?
The onsite interview involved 6 interviews back to back - 5 with various members on the team and then a final discussion with the recruiter.
Given we have 4 projects (I knew what the projects were) that need program management support, how would you assign the projects across people - dedicated per project or spread out across? And why?
The Salesforce hiring process was by far the best I have ever experienced. The recruiting team was incredibly responsive. The interviews themselves were structured more like conversations giving you real insights into the product, role and culture.
