If you’re a female going for any type of engineering role in the Secaucus branch, don’t get your hopes up. Part of what initially attracted me to the company was their global HeforShe campaign, however I quickly realized that this was not the case for all their branches. The Secaucus branch is a “boys club” where the only women you see working there are at the front desk or (maybe) in sales . With that being said, this isn’t to discourage potential female candidates, but rather to encourage you to push back on their outdated culture, because with the exception of that flaw, it really is a great company to work for.
Stage 1
In person 1:1 interview where they mainly want to know why you want to work for their branch, and if you even know what it is they do (which many candidates don’t) - HVAC and BAS.
Welcome Stage
Welcome banquet at a restaurant with pre and post happy hour. Opportunity to mingle with the branch manager and other higher ups.
Stage 2
The final interview located at their branch where they also provide an office tour. Diving deeper into the role that you’ll be going for with a in-depth look into your resume.
Overall the experience seemed
great. They made you feel comfortable and connected to their admiration for the company. Just don’t let that fool you into thinking you actually have a shot if you’re a woman.
