Interview
There is a recruiting team in another location who contacted me to set up an initial phone screen. The hiring manager was in another location as well. He contacted me. Initial discussion was him asking me what I felt were personal questions about family, marital status etc. Very little discussion about my experience. Shortly after the phone screen I was contacted again by the recruiter to set up an on site face to face interview. I arrived at the facility 15 minutes early but was stuck at the front locked door. There was no receptionist. There was a phone at the door to call whoever you were there to see. Since the hiring manager I was meeting with was from another location, his phone number wasn't listed. I called the recruiter and got voice mail. I called some of the numbers listed by the phone but no answer. Finally someone walked by who let me in. I was now late for the interview I was actually 15 minutes early for.
The interview lasted about 10 minutes. I felt as if it was a waste of my time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Schneider Electric in Oct 2018
