I applied online. I interviewed at ServiceNow (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2021
Interview
Round 1 - 1:1 interview with hiring manager; mostly product management related questions
Round 2 - Case study presentation to members of product management, design, UX research, and engineering; hiring manager provides case study and you have a week or so to prepare the presentation
Round 3 - 1:1 30-45 minute interviews with 5-6 team members (most were in the case study presentation); a lot of project management questions and how you work with design and engineering
The team was great, and the interview process was easy with them and pretty run of the mill. Until they lead me on and dragged on the process to last months. After the three screenings and all three interviews stating they will give positive feedback and recommend hiring, the recruiter went MIA, I had to send multiple followups to get any form of status or communication, and even then the recruiters led me on stating that the feedback was VERY positive. No touch bases or anything unless I started the conversation.
Eventually I was told they hired another candidate, but they wanted me to apply for other positions internally, which means I was a backup choice. This is nothing rare, but the lack of communication really made me feel unwanted as a candidate at the company. I want to feel like I am wanted at an organization, not a second choice.
SN is not the place for me.
