I applied for three internships and was contacted by a recruiter for one to arrange a screening. After setting that up I immediately received rejection emails for my other two positions as if they felt that I could only interview for one position at a time. After my strong interview and positive feedback from the recruiter I felt hopeful that I would move forward in the hiring process. Instead I got a rejection email two days afterwards stating they would be going with another candidate. I did not even get to meet with a team or manager! How was I evaluated fairly? To make the experience even worse they left the internship job posting up on the career page. So there was no “other candidate” just uppity people who would not even speak to me before discarding my application entirely.
The interview was easy and positive! It took about 30 minutes with one minute self-introduction and two follow-up questions. The interviewer was nice and friendly to address my concerns! The communication and response from the HR department were efficient.
I appreciate the opportunity to interview for the position. I found the process to be well-organized and thorough, and I enjoyed meeting the team and learning more about the company. I believed my skills and qualifications aligned well with the role and I was excited about the possibility of joining the team.
