I applied for a CPP Software engineer position even though I am a Java developer and had no professional experience with CPP. They sent me a coding challenge on Hackerrank. After I passed that test I was interviewed with HR first and then with three managers in the last round. I stated that I do not have working experience with CPP and Linux except my free time and hobbies. Both HR and the managers said that it was okay because they are looking for someone who can learn quickly and interested in these technologies. I said I am interested. They asked technical questions and I believe I've answered correctly to maybe %90 of them. So I was feeling very confident that I might get an offer after my last interview yet one week later I've received an automated email saying I was not getting an offer. I asked for the reasons and they replied saying they were looking for more experienced people for this position! Well, then why are you wasting my time? Really frustrating.
