I applied online via the Slack Website. I made sure to personalize my resume according to the job description.
Also, I`ve spent some time, a couple of hours researching the company`s mission, core values, understanding the culture, etc. And as a result writing the cover letter, using the structural approach, why I like being a PM, and three reasons why I am excited to join the Slack team. I appreciate that the Slack hiring team answered me the next day, that, unfortunately, they do not plan to proceed to the next step.

Question 1
Unfortunatelly I did not proceed to the phone interview.
Slack's recruiting process pushes almost all of the possible negative buttons: lack of clarity around the role, lack of follow-through, lots of attitude, a disconnect between the hiring manager and the recruiter, and eventually a cowardly automated email rejection instead of reaching out like one human being to another to explain that they don't have their stuff together. I'm not interviewing with you again and most certainly not recommending you to any of my friends. I don't care how hot your brand is, the experience is not worth it.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack
Interview
4 weeks long. 4 rounds.
1- HR Screen.
2- Hiring Manager 1:1
3- Presentation of your learning arch (story of your PM experiences and what you learned at
each)
4- Case presentation (take home assignment), present to a panel of 7 people, followed by 4-5 interviews (Dev, Peer PMs, Designers)
Made it to last round. They didn't provide any feedback as to why I didn't receive an offer.
