I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snap in Apr 2022
Interview
Context: The CRM manager messaged me about this role on LinkedIn.
The interview process consisted of 2 parts: a general technical and a panel. First round was miscellaneous questions. The second round consisted of a 5 hour panel that involved LWC, Apex, Design, and administration. The technical parts weren't organized well and somewhat put-together as they had me use a shared Google Doc to do all the coding which was strange. Additionally, I found that a few interviewers were pushy for you to code it their way. If you started explaining and writing one way, they'd stop you and push you towards their way.
The overall process wasn't great and it's on the longer side which is a problem if you're interviewing with multiple companies. Most people I spoke to were kind while others were disinterested in conducting the interview. The culture was average, very niche, lacked diversity, and there wasn't anything interesting or exciting about it -- At one point it was compared to as a family which was an additional red flag. Communication wasn't good either as HR sent the wrong information which led to some confusion and problems. There was also some ghosting by the company and manager after the last interview. Lastly, I personally didn't find their work to be interesting and already knew that I was going to look elsewhere.
Overall, I wasn't too invested or interested in the company/role even prior to the process as I only proceeded because of the manager's interest (wouldn't have looked at the company otherwise); moreover, I proceeded to see what it was like internally. For those looking for CRM roles, I'd recommend looking elsewhere as there are better companies, culture, work, and people that would make your next role an overall better opportunity. Additionally, save your time and put it towards a different company that values your time and effort.
