I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Snap (Santa Monica, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Applied through an employee referral process. Recruiter moved me directly to the final round of interviews, which was two phone screens back to back (45 min each) with a couple of engineers. They asked pretty standard interview questions with a Snapchat-esque flair.
1 architecture interview in one day and then another day of 4 coding challenges + 1 Chat session with one of the engineers. Each coding challenge is a one hour session however you get around 30-40 minutes of actual coding depending on how much you talk during the intro
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snap
Interview
I had two phone interviews and a final round video call. The interview questions were challenging, but I didn't have to solve them perfecty to get the offer. It was a good experience overall.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Snap in Oct 2018
Interview
First I was reached through Piazza, which I didn't know happened. Had two video technical calls, they were both pretty on the easy to medium difficulty side, the first one was more of a "brute force write this" "okay now write it with this condition" and all the way to "write it in one line". Pretty fun interview. Second one was with a more awkward engineer, but the problem was quite difficult. Can't remember what it was though sorry.
