I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Snap in Sep 2015
Interview
Applied on the website and got an email from the recruiter.Had a video phone screen(google hangout) interview with one of the engineers the following week.It looked like they don't even screen the resume before calling upon the candidates. If you have X years of experience in Y technology, the engineer wouldn't even care about it and ask/judge you about Z technology which he may be working on. Even a 30 sec glancing of my resume would have made it very clear that either I am not a fit for the work they do or what should be relevant question to judge me. When it came to coding skills, I was able to nail down the problem, compile code run it with correct output , but still got a reject the next day.
Snapchat may look like a cool place to work with lucrative pre IPO equity, but at least I would not recommend it owing no-so-good recruitment process and stereotyping of candidates.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap (Venice, CA) in Sep 2014
Interview
Snapchat interview process was surprisingly smooth for me. The entire process took around 2 weeks - from the initial call with Recruiter to onsite and verbal offer. I was actually found by Snapchat's recruiter for this job opportunity and decided to give it a try after talking to him. The recruiter is very friendly and helpful throughout the process in terms of scheduling interviews and following up after interviews. He even gave me tips on relocation since he was also relocated to the area himself.
The process is standard, phone screens via google hangout followed by onsite half day interview. I was pretty confident throughout and got my verbal offer 2 days after my onsite. Everyone that I've talked to in my interviews is very knowledgeable and full of energy. I received a strong, positive vibe about the company after the onsite. It definitely feels like a silicon valley startup.

Question 1
The technical questions are difficult but fair. They are looking for people who can actually code, no tricky ah-ha questions, and coding questions are mostly testing your ability to write code, which is fair if you are still coding in your current job.
