I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TP (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jul 2016
Interview
Was called the same day that I put in the application online, scheduled to come in the next day for a typing test and interview. When I got there, is when you realize that this is a mass hiring event! Which is fine, however, my time was for specific time and it was an hour of waiting before I was able to see the interviewer. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Other than the time management!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation in your last job when you had to handle a customer or a situation that was upset.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TP (Gateshead, England) in Apr 2015
Interview
Submitted internal application, received minor feedback via email and then it was cancelled as they were not happy with the applications. No further explanation or reason was given. The submission criteria did not match what they were seeking so the applications were impossible to tailor to the job.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at TP (Boca Raton, FL) in May 2016
Interview
First "career fair" style interview at local unemployment office.
I asked if this was a sales position and they danced around the topic.
They mentioned the need to upsell but said nothing about the sales quota.
The 2nd interview was at their bleak looking call center in the T-Rex complex in Boca..
They kept me waiting FOUR HOURS!!! Unprofessional and disrespectful.
In my whole career, I have never been kept waiting so long.
The other candidates looked like rejects from the unemployment office.
Forced to listen to their repeating video for four hours about how wonderful they are.
I was very close to walking out several times.
Interview lasted about 5 minutes. Once again, the sales quota was not mentioned.
I had to pry it out of the interviewer.
Next, a typing test to make sure you could type 25wpm.
There was an oral drug test that required you to suck on a "cotton lollypop" while you finished your paperwork.
An offer to hire was extended.
I started reading the terms.
You need approval from your supervisor to use the restroom!?!?
Unlike the "propaganda video", they "owned you". Follow all the rules or else.
On the way out I was talking to the interviewer.
I could be wrong but it felt like he was being overly rough and almost shoved me
as I exited! I hadn't even rejected the job. (Yet.)
This is how you treat new employees???
Not a company I wanted anything to do with!
