I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at TP in Jul 2020
Interview
I applied for the position of Customer Service Rep for the Student Loan campaign. I received an email informing that someone would be in touch with me within the next 5 working days.
I received a call 2 days later from recruitment. The man I spoke to was nice, he asked if i was able to verify my identification with the correct documents. He informed me that a background check (D.B.S and C.C.J's) would be conducted using my forms of identification... which seemed extremely intrusive for a job in a call centre. After this brief chat he said he would call back in 30 minutes to begin the interview.
2 hours later he called me back, without an apology or reason why he had taken so long.
He spoke about the job roll and some of the duties. It became very apparent to me that this was not the job I applied for. I brought this to his attention and he informed me that the contract they had with Student Loans had expired. I don't believe he would have told me this if i had't queried it.
He went on to talk about the hours of work (40 per week) and the wage £18.137pa before tax which to me didn't seem very attractive considering the amount of hours.
We went on to have the interview. He said that he felt positive about putting me forward to the final stage and relayed some feedback.
I got my chance to ask questions on employee incentives. He spoke about a company football team and a DnD night and social network gatherings, which again seemed like the bare minimum or mostly aimed at younger than myself workers.
