The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (Guntūr) in Mar 2010
Interview
They visited our campus and conducted an online aptitude test. It took the whole of first day since the test was administered in two batches as there were a lot of applicants. They then made us wait for like 3 hours without any update on status. After 7pm they asked us to go home and that they would mail the result. As soon as we were home the result came. The selected candidates were required to attend a series of interviews the next day. The interviewers were late by 1 hour. there was a Technical round(TR), management round and an HR. The interviewers did not stick to this division in all cases. I had my technical interview. I made a mistake in TR which was good enough to blow all my chances. My interview( only TR, I was made to wait without a word as to whether i'll be called or not for further rounds) was over by 8:30am The shortlisted candidates were interviewed by different panels one by one, some candidates went to MR first, then TR and finally to HR. Some weren't called for further rounds. but they made all the applicants wait till 9:00pm without any update or a break for lunch or what so ever. At 9:00pm the selected candidates list was announced and I did not make it. They really treated us like dirt or rather ignored us.People who were selected were too relieved, exhausted but happy to notice it and those rejected were exhausted and dejected to care. Really does not reflect well on a company that prides itself as being India's largest IT company with ethical practices.
