I was contacted by the consulting firm for the interview and the interview process took almost 3 weeks. There were 3 rounds of interview. First round was technical which was a telephonic round. The second round was again technical in which advance level questions were asked. The third round was HR round.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2015
Interview
Hiring and interview process for Tcs is crap. I had this interview in gurgaon dlf phase 3 office. They do a lot of paperwork which they call process. You have to stand in queues for long hours first to get a temp id card, another one hour deposit all the documents they have asked for. At the end of doing this you get so tired that you don't have energy left for the interview. They loose profiles of people. Some people arrived early dont even get their first round done even after lynch. HR People are rude beyond description and I dont understand what they think they are working for google or something? The hassle is so much that I cannot even write everything here. Interview process is so so easy java questions on collections, mr round is also ok. But Hr round its so bad. As soon as you enter the room , the hr is angry and ready to fight with you he just doesn't slap otherwise he is angry why are you already earning so much. He will defame current organisation and simply say no to whatever compensation you will ask. They will give meagre hike and you have no option but to take it. Seriously man I thought tcs was a cool company but really I am amazed to see people have no sense of talking no professionalism nothing. They need a wake up call.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services
Interview
Consisted of college meeting and phone interview, which seemed primarily focussed on gauging passion and communication abilities. This was followed by the usual paperwork and a background check. Everyone was friendly, and I felt the process was quite smooth and relaxed. There seemed to be a focus on passion to learn and ability to work well with various cultures.
