Tata Consultancy Services System Engineer interview questions

The interview process consisted of an online aptitude and coding assessment followed by two technical rounds and one HR round. Technical questions focused on data structures, OOP concepts, and my project experience. The interviewers also asked about problem-solving approaches and real-time scenarios. The difficulty level was moderate, and the overall experience was smooth and structured.

Technical Round (TR) Core Subjects: Data Structures (DSA), DBMS (SQL joins are a favorite), OS, and Computer Networks. Coding: You may be asked to write simple programs (e.g., Prime number, String reversal, or sorting algorithms). Project Discussion: Be ready to explain your Smart EV or PV Panel projects in detail—this is often the main focus. Managerial Round (MR) Situational Questions: "How would you handle a conflict in your team?" or "What if you miss a deadline?" Tech Awareness: Questions on trending tech like AI/ML, Cloud, or IoT. HR Round Background Check: Questions about your family, education, and hobbies. Behavioral: "Why TCS?" and "Are you open to relocation/night shifts?
