Interview Experience at Tech Mahindra (Pool Drive, Reva College, Bangalore)
I recently participated in the Tech Mahindra pool drive conducted on December 10, 2024, at Reva College, Bangalore. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my experience:
1st Round: Aptitude Test and English
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (Aptitude - 1 hour + English - 30 minutes)
Difficulty Level: Easy
Details:
The round consisted of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and an Essay.
I prioritized the Verbal and Logical sections first, as they were more manageable.
The Quantitative section was comparatively challenging, so I tackled it last.
The cutoff was 50%, and I managed to clear this round.
2nd Round: Psychometric and Technical Test
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes (Psychometric - 25 minutes + Technical - 55 minutes)
Difficulty Level: Average
Details:
The round began with a Psychometric Test, which included 75 questions to be completed in just 15 minutes.
Pro Tip: Be consistent with your answers, as inconsistency might impact your evaluation.
The Technical Test included:
Coding: 2 problems of moderate difficulty. I solved both successfully, clearing all test cases.
Networking and Computer Basics: These questions were relatively easy.
Result
Unfortunately, I was not shortlisted after this round. While I’m not entirely sure of the reason, I suspect that my performance in the Psychometric Test might have been a factor due to potential inconsistencies in my responses.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tech Mahindra (Austin, TX) in Jul 2024
Interview
Interview process was a bit "slapdash", but the position to be filled was unusual. It was for a position that required experience with both TMForum frameworks and good familiarity with a particular CRM package that has ended its life. I've experience with both.
