I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Teradata (Pune) in Jan 2014
Interview
I got call from Teradata for OBIEE opportunity for Mumbai location. In my initial discussion I told my salary expectation. First I attended a telephonic interview. Then one interview was scheduled in Pune office as I am in Pune. I was serving Notice Period and in that time also I managed half day and went there(it was 50Km up-down). Client interview was good. After that there was no response and I dropped several mail to the HR as my final release date was near and I have to take discussion. Then I got call from HR, and he again asked me my expectation. I told that I want some more as the location will be Mumbai. Then HR told that it will not be possible. I agreed with their condition and sent my 3 month sal slip and the other docs. After that there was no response. Again I called HR and he told me that I am expecting more so they will not consider my profile.
I did not expect that kind of reply from Teradata HR. If you don't have the plan for that salary then you should have told me at the begining. What is the point of doing all these with a senior candidate. I will not think about that company in future.

Question 1
After all the round of interview they are telling my salary expectation is high. It should have been told in the initial discussion.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Teradata (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
New Grad position - first contacted to fill out a screening form where I outlined my experience in certain areas as well as answered questions regarding expected salary. Next I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and an engineer. Relatively easy and mostly non-technical. We discussed my education and experience in internships. At the end of my phone interview the hiring manager said he wanted to move forward and get me in for an on-site interview. We scheduled that interview right then. The onsite interview consisted of 2 rounds with 3 people each. The first was with a group of engineers and it was some technical questions, but nothing really specific or hands on. Some behavioral questions. The second round was mostly all technical and certainly the most difficult part of the interview. This round was with the hiring manager and senior engineers.
