I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Teradata (Rancho Bernardo, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
My first interviewer asked me why I was there talking to him—not as a creative interview question, but rather as a person who clearly had not prepared and generally had little interest in talking to me. Not a great start. Later, one of the most senior leaders I would work with showed up 25 mins late and only spent 5 mins with me then hurried off. Had it been due to a business emergency it would have been completely understandable, but that didn’t seem to be the case. The rest of the day was fine and consisted of largely standard questions. All told, I probably spoke to 10-12 people during the process, yet I never heard a peep from anyone after the day of interviews.
Decent company but they definitely need to work on the candidate experience if they want to attract “A” talent (or “B” or “C” for that matter).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly questions about my background and how I could contribute
Easy and quick process. They asked mainly three questions regarding situation analysis. The rest of the the questions were based on my background and interests. There were two other people in the room interviewing me, One was asking me questions whilst the other was jotting down notes.
