Straightforward interview process, had an initial phone screen first, then a panel interview with 4 team members. Overall, the interviews were not too difficult, however some of the team members during the panel had their camera off, which was off-putting. There was not too much communication between rounds so I was unsure of what was going on at times. Overall, I was not too impressed with the interview process and communication from the hiring team.
Applied online through their website. Then had a 30 min phone screen with the recruiter 1-2 weeks later. 1 or so weeks after that, I was set up for a 30 min call with one of the team members. About a week after that I had a full on-site, met with 7 team members over Zoom over 2 or so hours. None of them had their video cameras on which I found odd. Some were pleasant to talk to, others not so much. I do think it’s rather inconsiderate to ask someone to spend 2-3 hours of their day talking to 7 team members only to have some of them act like they don’t care during the meeting. On top of that, they said I would hear back from them within a week and heard back 3 weeks later only after I followed up a couple of times. No offer, oh well.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (Sparks, NV) in Jul 2021
Interview
1 recruiter call.
1 hiring manager call.
About 3 - 4 hours for onsite. 1st call was over the phone, the rest were virtual. This process was before Covid. Things may have changed since then.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tesla (Berlin) in Jun 2021
Interview
After my application I had recruiter reach out to me about two weeks later. The process itself was less than a week. After recruiter I had team interview with two people with a case study and then hiring manager interview with two people I would report to.

Question 1
A lot of behavioral based questions from past experiences. Case study was challenging for me.
