Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a set back you faced and what did you do to over come it?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesla (Fremont, CA) in May 2016
Interview
Process was decent: 2 phone interviews followed by an onsite interview
Maybe I was unlucky, but had a terrible experience. Rather than focusing on knowledge, plenty of useless questions were asked. Things such as "what are your weaknesses" and " where do you see yourself in 5 years" Really????
You expect me to know where I'm in 5 years whereas you guys don't even know weather you'll exist then.
Please don't get me wrong, I love Tesla and truly appreciate the technology, just hoped they had better experienced people to conduct my interview.
I get it that it's a pretty young company, but at some point you guys got to be professional in the interview process. You were hiring an experienced engineer, not an intern.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesla (State College, PA) in Jan 2017
Interview
The engineer reached out to me and asked for my availability for a spring internship, I sent the resume to him and the HR helped us to set up an interview.
