I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Dec 2012
Interview
The hiring process was rather simple. After finishing my online application, I got an email about 2 weeks later to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was conducted by a Home Depot representative, who asked the same questions that were on the application. About a couple days later I got a call from the hiring manager to set up an interview in-person. The interview only lasted about 45 minuets and I was basically asked common questions that are usually asked on interviews. At the beginning of the following week, I was called to come in for an second interview. Don't worry, the second interview is when you meet the store manager, sign a bunch of papers, and negotiate your pay. After you take the drug test, you attend orientation and your officially hired.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Salem, OR)
Interview
The interview process includes two interviews. The first interview was with HR and the second interview is with the store manager. Basic questions are asked about you and your experience. The interviews are basically a personality interview. They ask the same generic questions as other future employers.
