I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Saint Louis Park, MN) in Feb 2012
Interview
Applied online for the seasonal cashier position. Got a call after about 3 weeks from GA center, automated system asked me to answer a couple of questions after which a representative came on the line and confirmed my identity. Read out the job description, told about the pay and schedule. Asked me if i was still interested in the position, i said yes and then she had a brief interview, asked 3 questions. She told me she was recording the call and also entering my answers in the system for their records. The whole process took about 30 mins, at the end she scheduled an at store interview after two days. The store interview was 1:1 with the Operations Manager, who seemed very welcoming and made me feel at ease. He asked about 6 questions, all the questions asked were to find how well you fit to this job, past related experience, situational questions. Later he explained in detail the shifts, kind of work, dress code and the training process if hired. Sign a couple of papers consenting for background check and drug test if hired. I will be informed within a week about their decision. This is my first job as a cashier, i just told them my experience from college and internships. Just make them feel you are available to work all time and are willing to learn new things.

Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
