I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Grafton, WI) in Nov 2013
Interview
It helps to know someone, otherwise look to get hired on in the spring as a seasonal worker and you will likely find a way to be kept on.
You'll need to wear a collared shirt to work, so wear one to the interview.
Be prepared to wait for your interviewer, as the person you need to see has many responsibilities. They are not a hiring specialist, but an assistant manager with other responsibilities.
Unless you know someone, they do their hiring off their online application. If you have a history of showing up for work dependably and you can pass a drug test, make sure you say that in your comments.

Question 1
What makes you an outstanding candidate for this position and why should we hire you?
Very casual interview with both of the night shift managers. They were very down to earth. The whole process only took about two weeks once I had applied for night shift work during the summer. They asked about myself and how I found out about the job, mostly checking to see if I would be a fit for the team.
