I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Sunset Valley, TX) in Apr 2012
Interview
I received a call 2 days after turning in a lengthy online application. I took the phone interview, which was basic information, the woman on the phone was very friendly and to the point. After 24-hours, I received a phone call from Susan at Home Depot, she called to tell me that they wanted to interview me in person. She sent me the address by email. However, the address she sent me was in Bee Caves while the job posting was at Brodie lane, She failed to mention that the address would send me to a different place by GPS, which when I finally made it to the store she told me happens all of the time. She was friendly but awkward, and the interviewing process was fast and efficient. I was called back the next day and she said that I was hired and to come in to do paperwork.

Question 1
There were absolutely ZERO difficult or unexpected questions. It's as if the interview questions came directly out of a box that read "ACME"
Did find out a computer combs through your application to say if your an acceptable applicant or not, so that was interesting. I wonder what kind of algorithm they have in place that would give a programmed AI credibility in choosing who is a worthy candidate or not.

Initial contact made through the kiosk located in the store. I was phoned for an initial interview. I was called in for a second interview, offered a position and directed to the clinic for a urinalysis. Upon receipt of passage of the background screen and drug test, I was set up for a Training/Orientation class. That was three, eight hour days, as I recall.
