Got an initial screening call, asked a few standard, basic questions, like "tell me about a time you worked on a team" or "tell me about a time you took initiative to work to a deadline." Then the interview itself was standard too. "What do you think your greatest strength/weakness are? Why Home Depot? Why cashier? etc etc"
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2012
Interview
I recieved a call on chrismas eve for part-time sales associate from the automated hiring center then i was prompted to do a short over the phone interview, he asked me about 4 basic questions about customer service, nothing difficult. He also said if i was willing to accept $9/hr. After recording all my answers he schedulded me to do an in-store interview 2 days later. I met with someone at the store i think the manager she sat down and the interview was done in less than 10mins, it was the easiest job interview ever. she asked 5 questions, behavior style and what would i do if.... She then sent me 2 do the drug test and background check. 6 days later she called and i got the job. When i went in to fill out the hiring paperwork she never told me the starting pay or what it was going to be. I jus saw her type it into her computer 9.25.
