It is a long process with home depot. first they start you off on the computer then you interview with a group of people. then you will interview with the store manager. then you my have to come back and actually shadow a dept supervisor. there are of course criminal back ground checks and drug screenings.

Received call from store; interview scheduled; arrival at store: not a professional environment (what I thought was HR was an "Coordinator"; interviewed by assistant store manager-he read interview questions from a script and also conducted a scenario of a customer needing assistance to see how I would respond; had to return next day to meet with store manager: quick interview (wait for him was longer) asked a few general questions, including "Why should I hire you?"- was offered the job!

Interview
After an employee referral, I was called within 2 days for an interview. The manager interviewing me, was very warm, nice and sincere during the interview. The questions are mainly about how a person would react to certain situations, a person's interpersonal skills, and whether or not you are a creative thinker and proactive.
