I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Folsom, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
Was contacted by associate support they interviewed me then I had a second interview with store manager. Both asked standard interview questions the entire process was simple and both associates were very easy to talk to. I was surprised by how cool this company was. They had training for me and they didn't tell me when to do it. They basically said just come and go as much as you'd like and when you finish we'll put you on schedule. This is such an awesome company

I applied online and got called for a phone interview 5 months later, Corporate will call and ask you a few questions. If you do well they will schedule an in person interview at the store. At the store they will interview you in back office by an asm. They will either hire you on the spot or let you know they will get contact you later. (this typically means you didn't get the position)
