I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (San Diego, CA) in May 2016
Interview
The interview was a phone screen with the HR lead and VP of Finance in eBusiness. It covered my prior work experience, why I was looking to work for Thermo Fisher, and where I see myself in a number of years. I was informed that there were other candidates being interviewed, and they would get back to me.

Interview
repeat advertising for the position over the years. and a string of long job duties description and requirements. Appear to be a ghost job wasting applicant time applying. waste even more time attending interview which nothing good come out of it.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (White Oak, Allegheny, PA)
Interview
After an initial phone screening with the recruiter, and an interview with the hiring manager I had 4 interviews with potential peers and business partners. The interviews were all amicable, nothing too difficult.
The follow up is the bad part. After spending -4 hours interviewing, not including prep time I was left in limbo on an update. After multiple followups with the recruiter I was finally notified with a very short (1 sentence) email indicating another candidate was selected and thanks for my time. No feedback, no personal touch. I would expect that after a screening or 1 interview, but not after that amount of time was invested.

Total b.s process. You get contacted by the recruiter who is all rah rah enthusiastic and tries to get you pumped up. You then meet with the hiring manager who tells you that the next round of interviews will be the following week. Then suddenly you get ghosted with no contact whatsoever. Then you get a system generated impersonal email 30 days later saying, “This position is no longer being filled due to a change in business needs.”
Rude and disrespectful. This goes to show you that some companies are just interviewing people for the merry heck of it just so that their HR people and hiring managers there can say that they did some work that day to earn their keep. Such a scam.
