I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Glasgow, Schottland) in Nov 2023
Interview
I received a quick response after my initial application. The recruiter walked me though the job description and asked me basic questions. It was a short introductory call that lasted 30 minutes.
No response after the interview, despite the fact that I asked the recruiter for an update after 2 weeks. After 3 weeks I received a system email with a standardized rejection.
My verdict: A recruitment process is a very strong indicator how a company treats its employees. Thermo Fisher treats candidates like numbers and they seem to have a "hire fast and cheap, fire faster" policy which is typical for an US organization.
To stay competitive you need to understand that a positive candidate journey is a key factor for success.
