I was first contacted by the recruiter and had a short interview over the phone. I was then asked to complete a coding challenge and after that I was invited for in person interview. This was the weirdest interview I ever had. I got information that it would be a 3 stage interview: paired programming, social & justice part and I was asked to make a presentation about working in a team. First of all, the recruiter I spoke to before wasn't there on the day and I was greeted by someone else who disappeared after the first interview and no one knew what to do with me. The paired programming was very stressful and the developers were very unprofessional, didn't understand my questions, they were distracted, laughing, throwing papers from the desk to the bin and making inappropriate jokes. The social and justice part was not what I was told, I was supposed to be prepared to talk about a current issue of my choice but it was just a bunch of random competency-based questions on iPad. The last part which was a presentation was alright, but the people watching it had no idea what the presentation was about as they were not developers. It was weird because I met 7 different people on that day and there was no one I could actually ask about the role, what would it look like etc (when I asked the developers and said that I'm not applying for their position so how would they know).
