Interview
A recruiter reached out to me a few days after I submitted my application to set up an introductory call. We mostly discussed the role, my expectations and some anecdotes from my experience. It was a ~30 minute call.
The next step was a take-home assignment that was similar to a typical client ask. It was very open-ended. I had a week to do it and used every free minute of that week I had to work on it. I ended up not finishing.
I (surrpisingly!) got invited to my first on-site with them three days later. We spent most of that time paired up trying to get the rest of my code to work while talking about my experience. I had a design interview afterwards where I explained a huge project I took on at my last job, some shortcomings I encountered and things I would have done differently. It was a fairly comprehensive interview.
The next step was the second half of that on-site interview. (We did these two interviews separately.) The first two hours were spent taking their famous Wunderlich and logic test two-hit combo. These tests were very exhaustive. Afterwards, I spent ~30 minutes talking with my to-be manager delving deeper into my experience and about the kind of work I wanted to do.
The last part of that interview was their famous P3 interview where we spoke about my observations regarding social and economic inequalities in technology and general life. I never had an interview like this before. It was very reflective. It made me realize how much I *don't* think about these sorts of issues and how seriously ThoughtWorks takes fixing these wrongs to heart.
I've done a lot of interviews in my career so far, but this is the first one I've ever done where I learned much more about my specialty and myself than I did before starting out. I'm very glad to have done it.

I applied online. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Mumbai) in Aug 2022
Interview
The first round was “code paring round”. As per HR, their website and email, in code pairing round we were supposed to improve a deployed infrastructure with senior thoughtworker but it was nothing like that, it was just a typical question answer round based on the terraform code, no code pairing was done. Maybe HR should inform the candidate next time that “code pairing” is just a gimmick and it will be just a normal question answer interview so he can come prepared.
