I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Chennai) in Sep 2018
Interview
Thoughtworks came to our college for placements.Around 90 people came for the process. There was a total of 6 rounds.
FIRST ROUND:It was a short coding round. We were given one short coding question and they asked to solve it in 30 mins. After this 16 people got shortlisted.
SECOND ROUND:The second round was a long coding round. We were given a scenario and we were asked to apply OOPS concepts to implement it.Browsing the internet was allowed. They were concerned with the simplicity, structure and cleanliness of the code. After 45 mins a thoughtworker sat along with me and discussed about the optimizations that can be done(Pair programming). It lasted for 1hour 30 minutes. After this 4 people were shortlisted and I was one among them.
THIRD ROUND:It was a tech interview round. The interviewers were very friendly and they were also our clg alumni. They concentrated more on algorithms, data structures,OOPS(Scenario based like second round) and dbms.I struggled a little with OOPS but they helped me.It lasted for nearly 45 mins. After this only two of us went to next round.
FOURTH ROUND:It was an another tech interview. The interviewers were experienced. In this round questions were asked based on my resume.Since it had web and android development I was asked questions more in java, android(activity life cycle, json parsing etc..),little about networking(how dns works, load balancing etc...).Both of us got shortlisted for the HR rounds.
FIFTH ROUND:It was a HR(P3) round. The interviewer was more friendly. At first we went to grab a juice and was speaking about both of our lives. She asked more about my qualities and how would I behave in certain situations etc....It lasted for one hour.
SIXTH ROUND:This was again a HR(social and economic justice) round. It was more like a discussion.I would tell them about the social issues I have faced and in return they told me about the issues they have faced etc...It also lasted for an hour.
At the end both of us got offers.
