U.S. Department of State interview questions

The interview process is exactly like what they tell you in the Information Sessions the Dept. of State conducts each month. If you get waitlisted for an interview or schedule an interview, you should get invited to this and attend. The process took me 6 hours, and although they say you can bring food, they don't tell you when you are allowed to eat the food, so take initiative and eat when you have a few minutes between the different parts of the interview. Otherwise, you might starve and do poorly on the interview.

I received an invitation for an interview within 10 days from applying for the role. It took place online with a panel of three: two HR reps and a local chief of finance. What I found weird was that the latter did not have his camera on, and the reason given for that was that he was at home. Well, I happened to be home too and I was expected to have my camera on. The questions asked did not relate to the technical part of the job at all, it was a set of purely behavioral questions.
