I applied online. I interviewed at U.S. Department of State
Interview
Content-based questions required you to apply your knowledge on a given country/region/subject area. The individual I interviewed with was pleasant, and had clearly read my resume beforehand. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Question 1
What is the most pressing foreign policy issue currently?
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at U.S. Department of State in Mar 2017
Interview
The online application process was pretty standard - what seemed to take forever was the Security Clearance. The application was due at least 6 months prior to the start date, once submitted I didn't really hear from them until about a month before it was due to begin. It was another 2 or 3 weeks before I found out whether or not I had obtained the Security Clearance necessary to take on the internship. Not to difficult of a process overall, however, very stressful in terms of having a concrete plan.

Question 1
What experience can you bring to the State Department?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at U.S. Department of State in Mar 2018
Interview
Received requests for four separate interviews from offices within the same bureau. Interviewed via phone with each with at least 2-3 people asking questions. It was very conversational and I just applied my experience to their offices' specialties.
