Takes too long for the entire process, which is typical of most UN agencies. But UNDP is just the worst place to invest your time and references because this organization is outright biased! They drag you through the entire hiring process which includes an interview, a presentation, and a written exam only to complete their formality and waste your time. In most cases, they already have an internal candidate, or someone they know they want to hire from the start - especially, if it's a local position. They all have someone they know working there and that someone will get you in somehow. You see, moral corruption, bias, and partiality that they want to eradicate from developing countries - guess what, it plagues their own system, starting from the hiring process. So you can imagine what it must be that they have done all these years to make the world better! Back to the hiring - they just waste your time and keep you hanging on for six months and more without even letting you know that you have been rejected. Very unprofessional HR team, impolite, and rude. They call you during odd hours and nag you to provide all sorts of documents only to reject you without even a formal email. For God's sake, why do you waste references when you're not even hiring. Think about it from the applicant's side, it's really frustrating because we have to request it from our former bosses and we can't keep doing it over and over again for every single job we apply for if we are to get rejected and ghosted like you do! I wasted 3 important references for the job applied for and now it's kind of awkward to go back and request the same for another potential job. Just say it upfront that you've selected someone else and moved on - when candidates reach the final stage! How is that so difficult to do? I knew I was rejected from LinkedIn! You guys didn't even bother to send a rejection email. You wasted my 3 references and now I'm hesitant and humiliated to ask them again. Why make us suffer this agony? How is it convenient for applicants? Isn't dragging 4-5 months for a biased selection process not enough? Down with UNDP. Slow, ineffective, unprofessional and just outright unadaptive organization that's just wasting our time, efforts, and references! BTW will you ever care to respect the time and effort that goes into the application and requesting references? Gosh, you guys have no respect cause you know you'll have 500 applications for every silly position you advertise no matter whether there is any impact of the job! Hah! For God's sake, your HR can't even communicate professionally and write a proper email with basic grammar! Such is UNDP. Glad I dodged this organization and will never ever apply again hoping to support change and better my country. Down with it!
