I applied online. I interviewed at UPS in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied online, then immediately selected a date on which to take a tour of the hub and be interviewed for the position. As other reviews have said, there's no need to be well-dressed. Come in whatever you want.
After all the interviewees waited in a room for a little while, the lady from HR came in, gave a brief summary of the job (almost word-for-word what's on the website) and took the group on a brief tour of the hub. Following this, everyone went back into the room and she called us one-by-one for our "interviews."
A little more than a week later (during which they were performing a background check), the call came offering me the job.

Question 1
There wasn't really an "interview," at least not in the traditional sense. She just asked for your social security number, asked if you're currently going to school, and confirmed what shift you were applying for.
Setup an appointment with the interviewer. Interviewed with a large group of applicants. They took us on a tour of the building during one of the shifts. It gave us an idea the job consists of and what we would be doing.
There was no interview at all. You are automatically hired and put to work within 20 mins of your first day. You have 30 working days to see and prove if you are fit for the job.
