I applied through other source. I interviewed at UPS (Newark, NJ) in May 2011
Interview
Process involves submission of Letter of Intent, a couple tests, interview with DM, and Panel Interview. Whole process takes days, and is now done via computer, whereas you used to have to have live panel interview for FT management position,
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UPS (Fall River, MA) in Nov 2015
Interview
Group hiring if you show up you're hired. Non-stop nature of delivering packages causes half of those hired to be turned over. If it's not for you then let them know. Basic interview very easy softball question with background check. Group orientation on delivering process one day, showing how to use scanner another. Driver is experienced and will break you in.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UPS (Bozrah, CT) in Oct 2014
Interview
went to headquarters and sat with dispatcher and several other applicants. Filled out hiring information and then received phone call following day if interested in employing. It was easy and not that nerve raking. I literally walked in and walked out in under 30 minutes. Interviews can often be scary, at least to me, but the employees here were friendly and kind. They all seemed to love working for UPS. I was told that many higher ups had started with UPS company as a Driver helper. They explain that driver helper is a tough job to hold but they pay well.
