I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Romoland, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
Basically, for this, they literally hire anyone with a pulse and a clean criminal record due to extremely high turnover rate. You apply online (the only requirements to successfully apply are that you meet the minimum job qualifications in their mini-questionnaire) and which will then give you the location and time of the one-on-one interview (usually a mass group setting of 50 or more applicants at a time).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you think qualifies you to meet the physical demands of the job?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UPS (Sacramento, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
Simple questions about physical conditions such as walking for a long period of time, lifting packages that are heavy and at times in odd shapes. Talking to customers and getting signatures.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UPS (Saint Cloud, MN) in Nov 2013
Interview
It was a very easy Interview Process. I went in to the office, they asked me a little bit about my background and why I wanted to work for UPS as a Driver Helper and that was pretty much it. As long as you aren't a complete burnout you will get hired. The job just entails you scanning packages and bringing them from the truck to a person's house, so it would be ridiculous to have a rigorous interview process for this job.
