Question 1
What makes you believe you are ready to hold this position?
I attended a service academy, which has an interview process like none other. It involved a Congressional nomination, medical exams, essays and the like. It was long, but guaranteed me employment for over a decade.

Question 1
Gaining a Congressional nomination was the most difficult part.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Compton, CA)
Interview
Took awhile to get a hold of a recruiter. The quickest methods are through a ROTC program at a university or attend the academy if you qualify. The process was long and involved the individual helping the recruiter because they were overwhelmed with paperwork. If you are patient and you want the position, take the time to help them when needed (have your documents ready, etc.).
